Staying in late July we loved that the site was well controlled. Silence at 10.30pm actually works on this site & the owners was quite abrupt with anyone who was noisy or out or order - the 2 couples who woke us up when they came back at 3am were ordered off the site before 9am.
The toilet block is a little dated but kept very clean and the facilities are very good - campers fridge, ice-pack freezers, microwaves(20p), pizza oven, laundry, inernet computers & general wi-fi across the site ( no TV signals though - regulars seem to take those portable satellite dishes).
The walk through the woods to the beach is pleasant & much safer than the road but took us 20 mins with a 5 year old & all the beach clobber. There were very few teenagers for summer holidays & the children roamed quite safely on the empty pitches around us. No food on site, but good pubs & other options nearby. A little on the expensive side but we'd go again. Mawgan Porth beach is great |
