Taking a break in the Isle of Wight is the perfect way to enjoy this beautiful island’s family friendly resorts, lovely safe beaches and exciting leisure facilities. As you’d expect from an island with 60 miles of beautiful, unspoilt coastline and famously sunny weather, you’ll find an excellent range of water sports and other thrilling activities. The Isle of Wight is a favourite with sailors and deep sea anglers, but you can also try your hand at windsufing, jet skiing, sailplane flying and hang gliding. And the Blackgang Chine Fantasy Park or breathtaking chairlift rides at Needles Park offer plenty of adrenaline boosting fun.Explore the island’s amazing prehistoric legacy at the Dinosaur Farm and Dinosaur Isle Museum or search out living wildlife at the zoo and at Parkhurst Forest, one of the few remaining habitats of the British red squirrel. There’s lovely coastal and country walking and cycling too - the more energetic might like to follow the round island route. |

The accommodation was of an extremely high standard and we had a very relaxing break. A lovely location, we took our dog and there were plenty of areas to exercise him. Great for the children too with a tennis court and indoor pool. |

Our holiday was perfect, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodation was even better than the pictures, everywhere was spotless and the staff were extremely helpful. We have a 16 month old and he loved the space he had to run around in, and he loved going in the pool everyday (which was spotless everyday). We are already looking at next year! |

The Springs in Ryde
Also known as “The Gateway to the Island”, the largest town on the Isle of Wight, Ryde, has been an extremely popular holiday location since the mid 19th century. There is a huge amount to see and do in Ryde, and it is highly accessible to holidaymakers because of the regular catamaran, ferry and hovercraft transport services. Ryde has something for everyone, including a great selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as six miles of gorgeous sandy beaches. The bustling seaside esplanade has plenty of recreational opportunities including an ice rink, tenpin bowling, bowling greens, putting greens, a pretty boating lake and a children’s paddling pool and rides. Everything is within easy reach, making this a very stress-free and relaxing holiday location.... [More] |
