The local Area around Grattons Cedar Lodges

Wild and rugged round Hartland Point, then stretching out into wide, surf-washed sandy bays - explore one of the world’s loveliest coastlines when you take a Hoseasons lodge holiday in North Devon. Surfers and sailors flock to Woolacombe, Saunton, Croyde and Ilfracombe, and windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and diving are all popular on this coast too, while walkers are attracted to the spectacular views along the coastal path. It’s also a working coast, and fishermen still bring their catches into harbours at Bideford and the enchanting villages of Appledore and Clovelly, whose whitewashed cottages seem to tumble down steep cobbled lanes to ancient quaysides. And when planning lodge holidays in North Devon, don’t miss a chance to take a boat trip to Lundy Island, a beautiful haven for wildlife.

There were some lovely villages to visit and the scenert was great. You need to take a good pair of walking shoes with you so that you can see the great views from the hill tops. Dont forget to have a devon cream which goes down well after a long day.

The lodges are in a fantastic location for walking (our two dogs loved it) It also has two fantastic pubs within walking distance. We visited in January (in a very harsh cold snap) and we were very comfortable. We will be back !!!

I find that the whole experience of booking a holiday through Hoseasons is good especially when booking online. The holiday we had with them this year was every bit as good as last. The accommodation, people, and park were good, and the scenery was breathtaking and it was peaceful. It even got the seal of approval off the dogs! We are already planning to go back to the same place next year we liked it so much, and there is lots to see and do for both young and old in the area.

It was a perfect location for us to explore the Devon countryside. We very much appreciated the small, quiet and secluded lodge park. It was just what we needed after a very stressful year! Berrynarbor is a delightful village, we were very impressed by the community shop and the flowerpot men, my son loved looking for them on our walks and I'm sure would like one for himself.

Berrynarbour was such a pretty place, the people were very friendly and we just fell in love with it. A great place to tour from and we will be going again - thank you for a wonderful holiday!
