The local Area around Shearbarn Holiday Park
A winning combination of relaxed beach life, a lively sense of history, unspoilt countryside and sophisticated city pleasures - in East Sussex you can enjoy them all. You’ll discover wonderful, family friendly beaches, the East Sussex coastline offers miles of golden sands at Camber and Winchelsea, and the seaside resorts of Eastbourne and Hastings boast plenty of traditional entertainments. Be sure to visit Hastings’ seaworld aquarium and the Smugglers’ Adventure in St Clements Caves. The ancient Cinque Port town of Rye boasts narrow, cobbled streets, full of charm, while, in complete contrast, funky, fashionable Brighton is a favourite haunt of artists, offering all you could want by way of lively cafes, bars, restaurants and clubs. While you’re never far from the coast, there’s plenty to enjoy inland too. Medieval Bodiam Castle, its fairytale ramparts rising from the gleaming waters of the moat, offers all the romance of history, and it is also easy to visit 1066 Country or enjoy a nostalgic steam train trip on the famous Bluebell Railway line. |

The cabin was fantastic, even better than in the brochure. The view from the patio doors over the bay was good and the outside decking area was a nice place to sit and relax with a nice glass of wine. When we arrived there was a nice welcome from the reception and a welcome pack in the cabin. The location is ideal for walkers and is not far from the town - we shall be going back again, thanks for a good holiday! |

The park is situated in a secluded and quiet area on the outskirts of Hastings and has tremendous views over the English Channel. Our accommodation was excellent and we enjoyed 15 hours of sun daily! |

The icing on the cake came in the evenings as we sat on the veranda after a busy day's sightseeing - a family of badgers emerged from the adjacent Hastings country park and rambled around the site. The staff were familiar with the wildlife and were able to offer tips about observing the badgers, foxes and rabbits at dusk. |

We found the park to have a lovely location, you could not tire of the beautiful view from the lodge. The pool was never packed and the bar was very plesant. The staff were extremely friendly and always helpful. The parks shop was also very helpful, even to the point of ordering us batteries for the following day. |

The standard of the accommodation was very high. Very comfortable with a good range of kitchen appliances, very spacious, a nice external seating area and your own parking. Overall we were very impressed. |

This was a very well maintained park, which was mostly made up of owned lodges. However, the accommodation, location and facilities were very good. Infact I was most impressed with the manager as the veranda did not have a gate and we were concerned for our little boys safety as the steps from the veranda lead directly onto a road way. The very next day the maintenance dept fitted a gate. |
