    There are attractions galore at Blackpool, including the famous Tower, Pleasure Beach amusement park and the amazing Golden Mile. For somewhere quieter, take a trip to genteel Lytham St. Annes, to the old fishing town of Fleetwood or to Morecambe Bay, one of our most important bird sanctuaries. On your doorstep are the cities of Liverpool and Manchester. Don't miss a trip to Salford Quays, home of the Lowry museum. And the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool has one of the finest art collections in the North. The city of Lancaster is also well worth a visit, with its immense neo-gothic cathedral. For rural tranquillity, make tracks to the Forest of Bowland, which is very popular with walkers and cyclists
