ovisand Lodge Holiday Park is a small boutique, beachside holiday Park on the South Devon coast, nestling in an unspoilt wooded valley; opening onto a safe sandy beach; with stunning sea view of Plymouth Sound and the Cornish Coast. Bovisand Lodge is owned and operated by the Hart family, who have for 3 generations run the Holiday Park since 1958. Over the last 50 years the Hart family have sensitively developed the park in to the 4 star, Gold Award establishment it is today. At Bovisand you will not find a clubhouse or organised entertainment, instead the emphasis is on conservation of the natural environment, creating a haven of peace and quiet where owners and families can escape to enjoy some quality time together. Although rural, Bovisand is easily accessible for Plymouth, it takes just 20 minutes by car to the city centre or a 4 minute water taxi ride from Mountbatten, to the historic Barbican. Bovisand is also centrally located to explore Dartmoor; South Devon and the historic fishing villages of Cornwall. The Park is open from the 1st February until the 31st October for holiday purposes. The local Area around Bovisand Lodge Holiday Park

Rural and Hilly - We are in a rural location and are set in a valley with steep hills, so we recommend a car. Quiet and Family Orientated - we are a small peaceful and friendly holiday park. By popular demand we have no bars, club houses, restaurants or cafes onsite. There are a number of restaurants and country pubs/cafes a short drive away or walk along the coastal path. Shops - There is a large supermarket approx 10 minutes drive away so you can stock up on supplies and two cafes on the cliffs by the beaches for snacks, ice creams and buckets and spades. Indoor Heated Swimming Pool - If you fancy a break from the public beaches then you can take a dip in our indoor heated pool. Play Area - We have a Play Park, Table Tennis table, Football and Badminton Nets and a large open area for kites/ball/team games. Launderette - Our Launderette is behind the pool. Caravans - Linen and Towels can be hired. Wifi - Wifi is available at a small charge. There are plenty of local attractions including the boat trips, theme parks, national marine aquarium, the moors and the historic Barbican to name but a few. You will find information on local attractions in your accommodation.

The Hills are a nationally important landscape and were designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in recognition of the special qualities of its natural and built environment. Being relatively unspoilt, the Hills offer a rare sense of timelessness. A network of hedges, mature hedgerow trees and small copses link a rich mosaic of semi-natural habitats. The area is perfect for walks, cycling and horse riding where the quiet bridleways and byways offer many opportunities to explore and enjoy the locally distinctive buildings, archaeological remains and natural flora and fauna. Sheldon is centrally located to explore attractions further away, such as the City of Exeter with its ancient Cathedral, High Street shopping and arts centres.
